Overview
• Seminars, workshops & case studies about sustainability, responsibility and selected focal topics (e.g. climate, sustainable entrepreneurship)
• Field trips and discussions with companies, NPOs and NGOs
• Project work on a real-life challenge provided by companies and not-for-profit organizations to contribute to one of the sustainability goals of the United Nations (SDGs)
• Pitching the results of project work to jury composed of project partners and professors
• International lecturers from different parts of the world
• Online teaching and participation options in case of restrictions because of COVID19

• Microeconomic foundations of sustainability and CSR: Market failures and opportunism risks
• Basics of CSR and sustainability
• Ethical foundations of CSR and sustainability
• The political and legal framework of CSR and sustainability
• Psychological aspects of sustainability
• Sustainable Development Goals
• Focal topics: Climate change; Sustainable Entrepreneurship; Corona and Sustainability
Future Workshop and Project work
• Field trips (e. g. Visit of an Urban Farming Project)
• Real-life challenge / Project Work based on Service Design methodology (e.g. develop a sustainable mobility solution)

Participation
• Free attendance for HWR Berlin students as well as for (exchange) students from our partner Universities and students enrolled at other German Universities
Participation options, credits and workload:
Full programme (30 October – 11 November)¹:
o Participation at the entire week (including online coaching for project work)
o Submission of project paper until 23 December)
o 100 lecture hours, 50 additional study hours (5 ECTS)²
Partial programme I – Theory (30 October – 7 November)¹:
o Workshops, seminars and field trips
o Reflection task (presentation and written report)
o 65 lecture hours, 25 additional study hours (3 ECTS)³
Partial programme II - Project work (6 November – 11 November; virtual project kick off mid of October)¹:
o Project Kickoff (as a virtual meeting in October 2020)
o Future workshop and sustainable Innovation seminar
o Reflection tasks (only presentation)
o Project work + submission of project paper until 23 December
o 52 lecture hours, 38 additional study hours (3 ECTS)³

• English language proficiency: Minimum Level B2 (provision of proof required)

For all exchange students: Please note, a separate Transcript of Records will be issued. It is not possible to transfer the credits to your main ToR you will be obtaining for your exchange semester at HWR Berlin.
